on Dec 09 2022

This week's fishing report will be written by part-timer Atom 🎶

Atom, the feather user, is going to Ozenji Temple, so there will be a resale coming up, too.Peacock"Please throw it down!" I asked him to go and do it.

Well then, everyone, here you go!

Hello everyone!

This is Atom from t-Route!

Today we visited Berry Park Fish On Ozenji.

This time, we went fishing with our customer Mr. S and six of our mutual fishing buddies!

Weather: Sunny

time:6:00~11:10

6:00

It was a dark morning, so we all went to Ichiro Pond.

I start my morning with 0.5g of Peacock Dark Olive.

When I let it fall to reach the bottom, I got a storm of bites!!

I got it on the first throw without doing anything!

Before I had time to set the hook, it was caught (^^;

I caught five or six fish in a row and experienced the power of the Dark Olive.

It would be fun to continue fishing like this, but

"Wouldn't customers buying for Ozenji be happier if we looked for a color that doesn't catch fish?"

This made me think about looking for a color that wouldn't catch any fish.

Although it wasn't as good as the dark olive, which can be caught by free falling, I caught the white and dark brown on the first cast!

The pattern is to slowly reel it in from the bottom!

white

Dark brown

When you reel it in from the bottom, you will feel a tapping bite on the tail, but even if you set the hook at this point, it will not be bitten, so it will not hook.

Therefore, the key is to keep reeling until the fish has firmly bitten the bait.

Only black left!

Compared to other colors, the first bite is big, but the fish doesn't follow up...

This may change depending on the time and timing, but the least popular color at Ichiro Pond today has been decided to be black.

7:20

As the sun rose, I thought the fish in Jiro Pond would be in a good mood, so I went to Jiro Pond.

Today's target is rainbow trout with salmon roe.

But there are no fish in sight...

Until last year, I was only targeting the fish swimming nearby, so this is a bit of a headache.

Cast, wait 10 seconds, then slowly reel in while shaking.

While fending off the onslaught of average-sized fish, we managed to catch two fish with salmon roe.

9:20

After successfully getting our souvenirs, we decided to explore Saburo Pond.

This is to give Peacock Black, who had a poor performance earlier, a chance to make up for it (^^;

First cast...no bite

Second cast... I got a bite, but it just slipped away.

Third cast...A large fish passed by about 5-6m from the shore, so I quickly retrieved it.

Four eyes

If you pass the lure at a 90° angle from 30cm from the tip of the fish's nose, a few centimeters above the fish, it will only glance at you for a moment.

Five-shot eyes

Pass it through at the same distance as before, giving it a fine shake...

I made a sudden hook-up, and while shouting in my mind "Fish!", I carefully reeled it in and got it safely in the net!

I thought the pull was not like that of a rainbow trout, but it turned out to be a rock trout!

9:30

The search for Saburo Pond ended after rock trout were found.

Return to Ichiro Pond.

While chatting with my fellow fishermen, it was already time to go home.11:10We have reached the milestone of 2018.

I had a university lecture this afternoon, so I went home with a heavy heart.

★Thank you for reading to the end.

Do you have any favorite recipes for soy sauce-marinated salmon roe?

Last year, I was searching for the best salmon roe and researching recipes.

Try adjusting the amounts of soy sauce, mirin, sake, water, etc., or using a slightly more expensive sake.

I couldn't quite find the perfect flavor, so I finally tried Yamasa Konbu Tsuyu.

I also tried various combinations.

And the conclusion drawn is

"It's the most delicious when marinated in Yamasa Konbu Soup"

is.

What was the point of working so hard?

If you're having trouble seasoning your salmon roe, we recommend you try Yamasa Konbu Tsuyu.

That's all from Atom!

See you again in the next fishing trip report 😊
