放流魚のレンジが落ち着いたタイミングでの活躍が真骨頂。45度で潜る最適な進入角度に合わせ巻きスピードを調整し食わせのタイミングで「シェイク」などを織り込むと手応えあるバイトを誘発します。常に放流魚のタイミングを考慮した厳寒期に入る水温低下時期と春に向けての三寒四温時の狭間で使うのが効果的。実はスローシンキングとは名ばかりで実際は「スパースローシンキング」の領域までカバーするマジックシェイク対応の小技は必見。

主にSSタイプを使用している。
SS表記ではあるが、実際はサスペンドに近い浮力になっているため、中層付近を超デッドスローで攻められるルアー。
またリップの形状が特殊で、ナローに潜行するため、巻き下げでもアタリが出やすくなっている。
